Take a good look the Nord Fisher 150 from Sprint Boats and be impressed.
Sprint Boats are based in Belfast, and yes they've heard just about every 'Titanic' joke there is, and believe they just brush them aside like the hull on their Nord Fisher.
All joking aside the Northern Ireland factor is a big plus, costs and wages tend to be lower than on the mainland, which translates simply into more boat for your money.
The basic boat starts from £4500 plus vat though a very well equiped 150 can be towed away for £12,500.
Now this is by no means a complete list but here's more or less what you get for your money...

After this is fitting the entire floor area is foam filled and sealed, no access, nothing screwed down, no water ingress.
Top sides with stainless handrail, and heavy duty PVC fendering over a glassed and bolted join. Inside too, you see two additional bouyancy pods to help the craft remain upright in the event of heavy swamping.
A front access hatch with real handles...NO shock cord and hooks!
A decent console that you can hang onto in a hurricane with a no feed back steering system and stainless padding steering wheel.
Inside the console you'll find power junction boxes and fuses, all labelled ready for fitting more electronics. Better than that the actual
junction box is mounted in a way that you can loosen two wing nuts and lift the box out the hatch - no more trying to reach inside to secure connections.
Dead simple - but it's brilliant.
Opt for the stainless light bridge and all your cabling will lead to the console down the enclosed conduit
Usually the electrics include a float switch and an upgraded bilge pump that you can take apart and clean (Don't you detest bilge pumps that you can't take apart to clean! and it's always the smallest bit of grit or cable that renders then useless)
A dsc VHF and whip aerial, navigation lights and switches.
Flicking on a the third switch and the cockpit floor will be lit with two 'sexy' red or blue mood led lights.
Hanging on the back is a real gem, a Suzuki DF50 Fourstroke. Reliable, economic and believe me these engines are quiet!!!!
These engines come with a five year warranty!!
At tickover speed in the marina the loudest noise on a Nord Fisher is the rattle of the wire up the inside of the GRP VHF antenna.
