Westerly Storm

With the Storm 33, Ed Dubois and Westerly hit the nail square on the head, producing a boat that is exciting but manageable under sail, with accommodation at least equal to normal cruising boats of her size but improved by details culled from owner-feedback. She is a high quality performance cruiser, built to last.
Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to seven berths in three cabins and is attractively fitted out in teak joinery, with full standing headroom throughout, excellent stowage and good handholds. There are two separate sleeping cabins fore and aft, both with good sized double berths and hanging space. The saloon has a dinette to port, which converts to a double berth, with single settee berth opposite. The chart table to starboard is generously sized with plenty of stowage for charts and books. The galley opposite has a two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven, twin stainless steel sinks and a refrigerated coolbox. 180 litres freshwater capacity in twin tanks. Separate heads compartment to starboard of the copanionway with marine toilet, washbasin and wet locker.
Mechanical Systems
Located behind the companionway, Volvo 2002 twin cylinder 18 hp diesel engine. Electric start. Shaft drive. Fixed pitch two bladed propeller. Single lever control. 82 litres fuel capacity giving approximately 270 miles range at 5.5 knots cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots.

Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt batteries. 12 volt distribution panel. 240 volt shorepower.
