Long Range Motor Yacht Converted Whaler M/V Haganes is a Long Range Whaler converted into a comfortable Motor Yacht. She was built by Nyland Verksted, Oslo (Norway) in 1907 and is older than the Titanic! She has been tastefully transformed into a mobile holiday destination and offers comfortable, air conditioned accommodation for the owner and his wife plus one or two guests and the captain plus crew.
Main engine is a 280 BHP Man B&W Alpha 404VO driving a variable pitch propeller. She has a Hydraulically driven Bow Thruster for close quarters manoeuvring and three AC Generators.
Four main compartments with three watertight bulkheads. The hull was sandblasted and repainted under surveyor supervision Feb 2008. At the same time all underwater seacocks were serviced or replaced and the engine on the 6KW Genset was replaced.
Decks are painted, epoxy coated wood.
Refits She has had major refits in 1928, 1938, 1940, 1952, 1965, 1995, 2005 and 2008
