Hallberg Rassy 45
The HR45 was a trendsetter, being the first Hallberg Rassy to be designed by German Frers. The yacht benefits from a lead keel and hull insulated with divinicel foam core. She is perfect for medium/long distance cruising with a deep cockpit protected by a windscreen and sprayhood, and wide and spacious side and aft decks. Teak decks and toe rail recaulked 2003.

The interior is finished to a very high standard in mahogany with louvred locker doors and mahogany slatting, just off the GRP, as lining in all lockers to minimise condensation and maintain a constant flow of air throughout the boat.

OWNER'S COMMENTS

We purchased Iona in 2002 from the original owner. We have sailed her thousands of miles from Turkey to Scotland, predominantly with our 3 young children on board. her deep cockpit and windscreen have offered great security in all weathers.

She has been set up for short-handed sailing with electric jib furling which makes 'changing gear' very manageable. We have used her for 10-12 weeks each year and she has been predominantly stored ashore when not in use with sails removed. She has been polished annually and generally maintained to a high standard.
