MOODY 346 BILGE KEEL
Designed by Bill Dixon, and built by Marine Projects Limited of Plymouth, the Moody 346 was introduced in June 1986 as an update to the Moody 34, itself a modernised replacement for the old Angus Primrose designed Moody 33/333 range. These Dixon-designed models were considerably sleeker looking than the earlier Primrose designs, yet retained all the virtues of interior space and good sailing performance. The interior fit-out of the 34 and 346 was also to a significantly better standard than the earlier 33s, which used a lot of plastic laminates instead of wood. The Moody 34 and 346 are virtually identical, except that the 346 has a transom bathing/boarding platform. The Moody 346 continued in production until mid-1990, proving one of the most successful designs for the company. The hulls were built for Moody's by Marine Projects, to Lloyds specifications, each hull having a Lloyds Hull Release note.

SHEENA
ENGINE: Thorneycroft T80 35hp Diesel Inboard Engine. New gear box fitted in 2005. Fuel capacity 159ltrs. Engine access is via a large hatch in the passageway through to the aft cabin. The cockpit sole above is also removable if required, to allow engine and gearbox to be lifted out if major work is ever required
ACCOMMODATION: Six Berths in three Cabins. Two single berths in the Forecabin with infill cushions and storage beneath. U-shaped Saloon area with single settee berths. Aft cabin through passageway with double berth. Warm air heater throughout.
DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT: The L-shaped galley extends aft into the walkway to the aft cabin, which is the major selling point of this and other recent Moody centre-cockpit designs. Hot and Cold pressurised water system. Twin Stainless Steel sinks. 2-Burner cooker with Grill and oven.
SPARS, RIGGING & SAILS: Double spreader rig. Maxi roach, fully battened furling mainsail, furling foresail. New standing rigging 2006. Insulated backstay. Jackstays.
ELECTRONICS: Nasa GPS Repeater. Nasa Log. Nasa Echosounder. Nasa Wind Indicator. Navtex. Auto Tiller. Compass. Navigation Lights. VHF Radio. Clock and Barometer. New Batteries 2004.
DECK EQUIPMENT: Danforth Anchor. Fishermans Anchor. Plough Anchor. Warp and Chain. Manual Windlass.
