Details
The W34 is a true sports cruiser in every sense of the word, and would be at home amongst the glamour of the French Riviera as it is in the harsh fjords and archipelagos of the north. With an emphasis on performance and handling, the W34 still manages to bring some new design ideas to the sports cruiser market that make the most of the boats 10.15 metre length.

While the W34 might take some styling cues from successful European boats like the Fairline Targa 34 and Sealine S34 the finish and detail are 100% Scandinavian. As you would imagine from a Swedish builder, the boat sports deep, well-protected side decks with generous steps up from the oversized swim platform making fore deck activities much safer and easier. The solid stainless steel guardrails extend right back to the transom, and provide safe passage for your family and crew forward. In the cockpit a large U shaped seating area to port, with an electrically lowered table easily converting it to a large and well-placed sun pad provides generous seating. Forward, the helm and navigator are each given a large, well-padded and supportive seat, side by side to allow for first class communication while under way.

The standard full enclosure covers provide a water tight barrier against the elements when under way or in port, and the standard warm air heating system with cockpit vents ensure the out side space is still a usable area even in the worst weather. Helming with the covers up is no problem either, as the W34 comes with warm air screen demisters as standard, a luxury usually reserved for fly bridge boats they offer another level of practicality on a sports cruiser.

Westline have taken an innovative step and moved the galley from the depths of the main cabin to the space of the cockpit. Not only does this mean that a larger than average head and shower compartment has been catered for in the cabin, it also means that the galley can offer greater flexibility. In one relocation exercise, the galley becomes a wet bar with a large fridge and sink, a deck barbeque in the summer when the covers are down and a source maintained heat in the winter when enclosed in the covers. It also means that smells and stains generated by cooking are not trapped in the cabin.

For the owner and overnight guests, the privacy of the cabins offer a world of comfort and flexibility. Forward is a wide, centreline double bed with hanging wardrobes and access to the head. Aft of this is a soft saloon sofa with table and sited opposite the optional flush fitted LCD television with integral DVD player. Your guests are catered for in a large aft cabin with a separate wardrobe and small seat. The standard warm air heating system ensures you are kept warm on the coldest of nights and the insulated hull means internal condensation is kept to a minimum.

Power for the W34 is provided by the latest generation Volvo Penta engines and drives, with Diesel as standard. To combat rising fuel and servicing costs, the W34 has been designed around Volvo's awesome D6 range of engines in a single installation. Either a Single D6-310 or D6-350 will propel the W34 to a maximum speed of 34knts, while using less fuel than an equivalent twin installation. A single engine also means half the maintenance, and half the maintenance costs. For those customers who are more comfortable with a twin-engine installation however, Westline offer the equally capable D3 engines in either 160 or 190 hp rating, which will match the performance of the D6 engines in terms of top speed.
