MOODY 31 MK.II FIN KEEL
Designed by Bill Dixon, the Mk. II Moody 31 was built from 1985 and continued in production until 1991, by which time over 300 had been built in total.
One of the most popular of the smaller Moody’s, the 31 has excellent accommodation including a good-sized aft double cabin.

ENGINE: Volvo 2003 28hp 3-cylinder diesel engine. Tiller steering. 90.9 ltr. / 20 gallon Fuel tank.
ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation consists of a two-berth V-shaped double forecabin, with two more settee berths in the saloon. Chart area to port with forward facing chart table with navigators stool and underneath stowage. Oilskin hanging locker aft. The Aft cabin is immediately aft of the galley with two single berths in a 'V' formation which convert to a double berth. Unlike the earlier generation Moody’s, which used a lot of exposed GRP and laminate, the Moody 31 has a fairly traditional and 'woody' interior.
DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT: To Starboard is the Galley area with good sized stowage for the size of the boat - in fact the Moody 31 still compares well with most current 31-footers in terms of accommodation and usability of space. Equipped with Plastimo Atlantic 2-burner cooker with grill and oven, and a Tropicool Waeco Coolbox.
The Toilet compartment is to port immediately aft of the navigation area and houses a Marine WC, shower and Vanity unit with Sink with pressuirised Hot and Cold water supplied via a 136.3 ltr. / 30 gallon water tank. Eberspacher hot air cabin heating.
SPARS, RIGGING & SAILS: Bermudan sloop rigged with Kemp Alloy mast and Roller Furling Genoa (Lucas Sails). 2 x Main sails (Lucas Sails - 1 x new 2006). Christopher Scanes Storm Jib. Spinnaker gear. Set of Lazy Jacks. Boom cover.
