CONSTRUCTION Built in 1987. GRP construction with long fin keel and skeg hung rudder, white GRP topsides with burgundy stripe, centre cockpit, teak laid decks, coachroof and cockpit, keel stepped Bermudan sloop rig, wheel steering, 6 berths in 3 cabins with full standing headroom throughout.
BUILDER: Designed by Carl Beyer and built by Rex Marin AB. Yard number 20. Part I British Registered.

SAILS & RIG: Slab reefing mainsail (all reefing conducted at mast with self tailing reefing winch). Mainsail cover. Harken Genoa roller reefing system with No 1 Genoa. Sails by Hood. Wire luffed storm jib. Keel stepped silver anodised alloy mast and boom with rod kicker, stainless steel standing rigging.
ENGINE: Volvo 2003 28HP 3 cylinder diesel turbo charge to 45HP. Engine instruments include volt meter, water temperature gauge, fuel tank gauge and rev counter. 33 gallon fuel tank with a consumption per hour of around ½ a gallon at a cruising speed of about 6 knots. Alternator charging to 3 x 12 volt heavy duty batteries (with isolator switch, shore power with automatic battery charger). Shaft drive to fixed propeller. Current engine hours approx 1026.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT: She is equipped with an Eberspacher hot air diesel fired heating system. 240 volt ringmain with battery charger and immersion heater. She has a TV/VCR. Her galley has a Mobilife gas cooker with 2 burners and oven (self draining gas locker on after deck), refrigerated ice box, pressurised hot and cold water (hot water via engine calorifier or immersion heater), sink and drainer (sink is a coloured enamel double sink unit), salt water tap to sink and waste bin, her separate heads compartment has a marine toilet, washbasin and shower with further access to her cockpit locker. 15 gallon holding tank. Walk through to aft cabin with chart table and chart stowage. Blue fabric upholstery with curtains and a teak and holly cabin sole.
ACCOMMODATION: She has 6 berths in 3 cabins including 2 “V” berths in the forward cabin, 2 single settee berths in the saloon either side of central saloon table and a large double berth in the separate aft cabin which is accessed via a walk through from the saloon. The forecabin, saloon and aft cabin all have opening deck hatches for extra ventilation.
REMARKS: “Loaningdale” was purchased by her current owner as an ex-demonstration model in 1988/9. She had previously been displayed at the Southampton and London Boat Shows. The Aphrodite is a predecessor to the Najad range of cruising yachts and is built and fitted out to an exceptionally high standard with solid wood interior and heavy GRP lay up and teak laid decks. Her owner has cruised her fairly extensively including a trip around Britain. She has been based throughout at Tollesbury Marina and has been relatively lightly used of late. Her interior has remained in remarkably good order and provides a very comfortable cruising layout for up to 6 people. She currently lies afloat in Tollesbury Marina and may be viewed by appointment with this office.
