WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A NEARLY FINISHED PROJECT AT A GREAT PRICE
'Jaybee' is a 41' Laurent Giles designed comfortable crusing ketch. This yacht has recently undergone an extensive professional refit and is offered with fully treated epoxied hull, completely transformed interior, rewired, new tanks, bow thruster, full range of new navigational gear, new rigging and much more. This vessel has been fitted out with trouble free world cruising in mind. Whlist extensive work has been completed a small amount is still to be undertaken which is reflected in the asking price.

Accommodation

6 berths in 3 cabins. The main double is in the seperate rear cabin with en-suite heads and shower, electric sea toilet with holding tank and sea pumping option, very large and spacious cabin with ample stowage, comfortable for long voyages, needs to be finished but all materials available. The fwd double is smaller but the fwd heads have been retained and revamped for extra comfort, completed to very high standard. The Saloon like the fwd cabin has been refurbished and leaves a wonderful impression. The galley has been finished and is very impressive with new fridge, new double s/s sink, new 4 burner gas cooker with oven and grill, fitted cupboards and sockets. The interior of the vessel has a great feel to it and will be something very special when it is completed.

Deck and Hull

The deck has been completely prepared and started to be completed with epoxy primer, 2 pack polyurethene paint and non slip. The boat has all new windows and hatches, s/s plastic covered guardwire, pulpit and pushpit, 45lb CQR anchor, new elctric winlass, horn, cockpit cover (new 2005)and cockpit cushions, sun awning, boarding ladder, numerous warps and fenders, 2 boat hooks. As a preventitive and not a cure from osmosis, the hull to the waterline has been professionally epoxied and cured (2003).

Electronics

Raymarine ST 60 Tridata, ST60 wind, Raymarine GPS RN300, RL70 radar, Sinrad RT64 VHF, Navico DSC 1400, Yeoman Plotter, Plastimo 135 compass. Very well presented chart table with fitted equipment and new 12v and 24v control panels, very well equipped vessel with all neccessary equipment for world voyages.

Mechanical

New Battery banks and batteries, shore power, alternator and generator, pressurised hot and cold water system heated by calorifier and immersion, new bow thruster, rope cutter and 3 bladed prop. Heating which is a hot water system is waiting to be fitted but already bought.

Rigging and safety

Ketch rig with alloy spars, new s/s standard rigging, running rigging, slab mainsail reefing, furling headsail, spinnaker gear, detachable inner forestay. Mainsail, genoa, mizzen, storm jib (1995), mizzen staysail, spinnaker, working jib, No.2 genoa and small furling genoa. All sails 1988 but have been recently serviced.

2 fire extinquishers, fire blanket and 6 man RDF liferaft. New lifejackets, lifelines and over 100 charts available under seperate negotiation.

This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase a well appointed and comfortable cruising ketch. The boat finished would be valued at over £65,000, majority of materials and equipemnt already bought to complete the project which has now run over budget. A must see to appreciate how she will look finished.
