Azimut 68S Taking open motoryacht design to a new level, this has to be one of the most stylish and sleek looking sports cruisers on the market today. Boasting a large owners full beam master cabin, with the trade mark square windows allowing plenty of natural light...
1. SIZE AND MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
Black water tank capacity 335 l. Gray water tank capacity 170 l. Cruising speed (half load) 31 Knt Top speed (half load) 35 Knt
The levels of performance described apply to a standard craft (with standard equipment installed) with clean hull, propeller and rudders. Moreover it is specified that such levels of performance were achieved under favourable sea and wind conditions (1 on the Beaufort scale and 1 on the Douglas scale); in the case of diverse or less favourable sea conditions performance levels may vary considerably.
2. DETAILS OF THE HULL
The structural project of the hull has been approved by RINA which approved the project. This implies a further proof of the structure quality, that is already guaranteed by the most advanced techniques and materials used. Fiberglass structure using multiaxial fabric with powder binding. Hand laid-up lamination process. Worldwide acknowledged quality neopentilic and isophtalic type spray gelcoat. High quality PVC foam core with outstanding mechanical peculiarities is used for bulkheads and superstructure with sandwich. Engine room, collision and bow bulkhead are in wood/foam sandwich. VINYLESTER RESIN is used for the external layer of the hull (5 mm). This kind of resin is extremely effective in preventing osmosis (“print through” mark). Worldwide acknowledged quality ortophtalic resin is used for internal layers and superstructure.
