Ocean Alexander MK1 Pilot House
Southern Promise is a superbly built classic Trawler Yacht of which over 90 vessels have been built in the Ocean Alexander boatyard in Taiwan. She is UK registered, safety coded and has a Portuguese tourist licence for charter for up to 12 guests. Most of the yachts are still operating on the American Pacific coast where they are accepted as one of the best for heavy seas and long passages. This is reflected in their high values. Southern Promise has undergone major improvements in the last few years including new decks, new galley, heads, cabins and saloon. Professional fitted-out hull extention like a lot of other sisterships.
Her enormous deck space, more than most 80 footers, and spacious cabins make her an ideal live-aboard, passage maker or charter vessel. She is re-engined in 1996 with two new Volvo Penta 316 hp. They only ran a 1000 hours.

In the front is a new head fitted with toilet, wash basin and shower, all in maintenance free materials. A spacey area which can be devided with curtains offers two single berts to port and a double to starboard. Further there are stairs leading to the pilot house. Entering the master bedroom with double berth accessible all around and en-suite bathroom. Stairs lead you up to the new and well fitted-out galley. All high quality equipment in stainless steel, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven. U shaped Granite work top and plenty of storing space. The saloon is cosy and offers a good seat on the comfortable benches with Alcantara fabrics. Stairs lead you up to the fly bridge with 2nd helm and a great sun deck. Two wide opening doors are combining the saloon with the spacey aft deck offering a great entertaining space in the shade. The swim platform is accessible by a door in the transom.
