WESTERLY GK 29 - FIN KEEL
The GK29, designed by Michael Pocock for Laurent Giles and Partners, was introduced as a follow on to the very successful Westerly GK24. She was produced as a fast, soundly constructed boat of modern design without going to extremes, and benefits from a full 6ft headroom making it suitable as a cruising yacht as well as a racer.

GOOD KNEWS
ENGINE: Single installation Yanmar 1GM10 12hp diesel inboard engine (fitted new in 2003 with gear and control). Tiller steering. Shaft-driven propeller. 45-litre Linear Polythene fuel tank.
ACCOMMODATION: The two cabin accommodation provides berths for 5/ 6 crew. Double Fore-cabin berth with cushion infill and extensive stowage below. Saloon area with seating to Port and Starboard, which converts to form a large berth sleeping two/ three crew at a push. Stowage below, behind and above. Extendable central dining table. A Quarter berth, with stowage above and below, is aft of the Navigation station which is situated to Port, which has chart stowage below, and a small drawer for instruments and shelving for books.
DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT: The Starboard situated Galley area consists of a two-ring Eastaam Maxol burner with oven and grill, gas or 12v Willowmatic portable refrigerator and a double-sink unit with cold and hot water (supplied via a Palama auto-gas water heater). A Brydon marine toilet is installed in the separate heads compartment situated to Port with sink, wet locker and toiletries locker. Propex hot-air blower heating. Plastic 30-gallon water tank.
SPARS, RIGGING & SAILS: Masthead sloop rig with Kemp aluminium alloy mast and spars. Stainless steel standing rigging. All sail controls led aft to cockpit via Barton clutches. Plastimo roller reefing. Backstay adjuster. Lazy Jacks fitted 2006. Spinnaker gear (pole, sheet, and sail). Mainsail. Genoa sail.
ELECTRONICS: The Electronics panel is above the Navigation station. Cobra DSC VHF marine radio (new 2005). Lowrance GPS. Dateline Echosounder in cockpit. Autohelm 1000 autopilot with remote control. Compass. Clock/ Barometer. Navigation lights (Tri-Colour, Steaming and Deck light). CD player.
DECK EQUIPMENT: Parafil guardwires. B&H Sprayhood. Spray Dodgers. Exceptionally large cockpit locker with ample space for tender, additional fuel and water supplies etc. Treadmaster non-slip deck. 40 ST stainless steel winches.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: 2x Fire Extinguishers. 2x Horseshoe Buoys. Danbuoy.
