About this Lagoon 440 Catamaran
Charter design but never been chartered. We chose this design because we have kids and entertained numerous guests during our three seasons in the Mediterranean. Currently lying on the hard stand at Baotic Marina, Trigor, (10kms North of Split) Croatia she has been absolutely ideal for our use and we have made every effort to improve and keep her as new. All new sails, new, best on market Gel batteries, new trampolines, new switches for the power winches, new solar power system which meant we hardly used the 9.2KvA generator at all last summer. Five cabins include two queen suites Aft, two doubles up front and a captains cabin in the port bow. Four bathroom/heads internally and a captains bathroom and head in the starboard bow..
Two fridges, one in the saloon and one in the cockpit (for the beer and wine) a freezer, dishwasher and triple sink. The nav desk sports a full suite of navigation instrumentation, VHF and AM/FM/CD radio, engine controls and hand held wireless autopilot and a new flat screen Smart TV.
The Flybridge helm seats 6. All lines are accessible from here such that she can be sailed single handedly, although this is where most passengers tend to hang out while sailing. Full duplicate set of navigation instrumentation plus VHF radio. A 360 degree view from the helm and with twin engines, it makes the difficult bits like med-mooring, going alongside and anchoring a non-event, specially when the entire wharf is watching!
She carries 600 Litres of Diesel and can cruise 8 knots on 2000 rpm using only 8 litres per hour per engine. Storage tanks for 400 litre of water with a water maker capable of producing 90 litre per hour from the sea.
To give you an idea of what it is like to sail this part of the world in this very boat, or even to provide detailed information on where you might like to sail, including most of Greece and Turkey, Albania, Montenegro and Southern Croatia please take a look at www.thesummeramy.blogspot.com. We moored, parked or anchored at over 180 places so hopefully you'll find the blog helpful on your travels.
