BUILDING QUALITY ( From the builders):
The use of closed moulds, injection and infusion means we an obtain
polyester parts of remarkably good quality :
A perfect homogeneity, a very good weight/resistance ratio, a consistency in
the materials and weight and a very shiny final aspect.
The hull is a sandwich made up of 20 mm thick PVC foam with closed cells
with a density of 80 kg/m3 .
Unlike the traditional laminating which is carried out in most shipyards where
the floor plates are stuck and relaminated to the hull after having been
unmoulded, offering alot less resistance in case of violent shock, the Harmony
plating is pre-positioned when the mould is being draped and stuck to the hull
when the resin is vacuum injected in sealed moulds.
The result is an unbeatable rigidity and a solidity that is over twice as strong.
The structure calculations have modelled the loads to be withstood by the hull
and have made us add a structural Kevlar reinforcement during the lamination
in the most heavily loaded areas.
The saffron single-piece spindle set is made up of a foam core draped in cloth
that is perfectly adapted to the part's contours and of a carbon spindle for an
even lighter weight.
It provides a greater resistance and a longer lifespan whilst reducing
maintenance. There is no longer any need for self-aligning bearings, as the
highly rigid spindle bends less under a load.
The deck's two ends having been moulded simultaneously, some parts that
used to be glued are now unalterable because they are integrated into the
mass and offer an unequalled visual aspect
