She is the best of the best in classic cruising yachts. She is a rare and unique find. Complete refit 1992 to 2000. Superb teak construction. Interior renewed in solid teak. All new machinery and electrics. This classic ketch has been restored to a high specification. She is a safe, strong yacht and now ready to give another 50 years service.

Accomodations and Layout
During the refit the interior was completely removed leaving just hull, deck and superstructure. New bulkheads and sole bearers were installed. The interior joinery has all been renewed in solid teak (there are no veneers) and all joints are mortice and tenon, all fastenings are non-ferrous. The interior is largely laid out in original format with improvements and modernisation – see plans. From forward: - The focsle now offers comfortable accommodation for 2 persons with a V berth arrangement and toilet / shower area (conceived for crew). Galley is full width with – a diesel “Range” cooker, Electric oven and a 2 burner electric hob to starboard; fridges and freezer, good stowage and work surfaces. Steps lead up to the wheelhouse / dining saloon, with – U shape sofa to starboard and teak table (there is excellent visibility from this area). The wheelhouse is just aft with a central helm position, a door leads out on the starboard side to the aft deck and stairs on the centreline lead down aft to the main sleeping accommodation. This comprises - two good size twin cabins (each with upper and lower berths) one to port and one to starboard – aft of each cabin is a head / shower area, one of which is shared with the aft cabin. Right aft is the “owner stateroom” with single berths port and starboard, lockers, seat and overhead hatch. Domestic Equipment A 2-burner electric hob, & a Panasonic microwave/conventional oven – both 240v A/C Dickinson Adriatic diesel range cooker. Refrigerators: 3 x separate S/Steel fridge/freezer compartments, these are run off 3 x 24v compressors Heads: 3 x Vacuflush vacuum toilets each with own pump (24v). Showers drain to S/S sump tanks. Hull and Deck
Hull of teak on oak frames. Deck of oak frames with 18mm marine ply and 1” laid teak – renewed approx 1987 Teak superstructure All frames are doubled and in refit all frame bolts were replaced with Silicon Bronze. Hull fastenings are copper clench bolts and bronze dumps. The floors (originally iron) were removed and new ones cast in bronze. New soundproof bulkheads and sole bearers in the refit. Keel / ballast is Lead / Greenheart with approx 2 tons of internal lead ballast. Underwater hull copper sheathed, from new.

Generator – Onan 16Kw with approx 400 hours, with own start battery Batteries: - 2 x 12v engine batteries, 24v 395 Ah - 12 x 2v cells, deep cycle service batteries, 495 Ah Service, gen set and start batteries may be interconnected for emergency start All batteries approx 1999 Charging: 24v alternator on main engine 12v charging from generator Newmar 24v 60A charger Cetrek 12v charger (240v) Service and engine batteries charged via alternators or gen set / shore power. Tanks: Fuel: 500 gallons in 3 s/s tanks Water: 240 gallons in 2 s/s tanks 2 x grey water tanks 1 x black water tank (may be pumped out overboard or via deck exit to dock facility via 24v pump) Plumbing: Bilge pumps – 3 electric, 1 manual and an engine driven (95 gallon per minute) emergency pump. Aqua Major AMFA 880 fresh water pump Deck wash system, 24v Water-maker – Aquafresh AF 800 (30 gallons per hour) Heating – Eberspacher diesel central heating (new 2003) Detector system (gas, fire, & bilge). Halon automatic extinguishers to engine room, plus hand held units in each cabin and in galley.
