Picchiotti Classic Gentleman's Motor Yacht 36m
Offers, including part exchanges, invited! Liberty S was built by the famous Picchiotti Viareggio shipyard in Italy in 1955 for the Innocenti family, of Lambretta scooter fame. Carvel construction hull of Liban (Libyan) Cedar with copper sheathing below the waterline, Aluminium Wheelhouse and Teak laid decks. She offers 4 double and three single Owner/Guest berths and up to seven crew berths.
She has two Fiat 535CV diesel engines giving a cruising speed of 12 knots at 1,200 rpm. Her fuel capacity gives her a range in the region of 2000 miles. She has two diesel generators and has Vosper stabilisers.
She has had major refits in 1983, 1990, 1995 and 2004 when she was in dry dock for four weeks.
Comments
Here is a motor yacht of superb character. Liban (Lebanese) Cedar is one of the best and most expensive materials ever used in yacht building. And she is copper sheathed below the waterline (copper bottomed) to give protection from wood borers. She is seriously for sale.
She offers the prospect of luxurious family sailing - would be great for parties - or would make an excellent corporate charter vessel.
Economical. In passage mode with main engines and generator running she burns only 90 litres of fuel per hour.
She is seriously for sale as the owners have now found another vessel. Now presented in end of season condition and in need of a refit, all offers will be considered.
