At TheYachtMarket we are expanding our Telesales team with strong and enthusiastic Telesales Executives, to assist our growing online international business. Your role will be responsible for building existing and new client relationships and maintaining our international market leading status. You will be expected to be an excellent communicator with First-class people skills and be comfortable presenting our product offering over the phone, you will also be expected to attend national and international boat shows, trade events and keep up to date with industry changes and the latest products and market trends.

Your goal is the continued growth of our business by attracting new clients and developing existing business relationships.

Responsibilities

Contact new and existing clients about our advertising products and services for the Marine Industry and Yacht Brokers and Dealers.

The ability to explain our product and service offering and benefits, in a clear and concise way, by phone, email and occasionally face-to-face.

You must have excellent communication skills, including a clear, confident speaking voice and a friendly rapport with our customers. (Additional languages are a bonus)

Answer questions about products and services and understand your customers’ requirements and most importantly close sales.

Accurately enter and update customer information in the company CRM database and resiliently document your transactions.

Take and process orders in an accurate manner.

You must have the ability to go the “extra mile” with our customers and to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone.
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems.
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Full and up to date passport.
  • Multilingual skills an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially the ability to listen.
  • Knowledge of the Marine Industry an advantage but not essential.
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection.

Front End Web Developer/Designer

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience

The role
At TheYachtMarket we are seeking a full-time experienced Front End Web Developer / Designer to join our talented web development team. Your role will be responsible for the design and front-end development of our web projects including the addition of new, exciting features to our international, market-leading boat sales platform (www.theyachtmarket.com) to keep ahead of the competition. In addition, you will be in charge of ensuring consistency of company branding across all media.

Requirements
We are seeking a hard-working, motivated individual with a minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience in web design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery. Additional must-have attributes include:

  • Exceptional web design skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Well versed in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  • A deep understanding of responsive web design
  • Ability to write semantic HTML adhering to SEO best practices
  • Expertise in testing and debugging in multiple browsers/platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of website performance optimisation
  • Strong grasp of best practices for user interfaces / user experience
  • Ability to build and test responsive HTML emails
  • Understanding of image editing and compression techniques
  • Drive to keep up to date with the latest changes in web design / development

The following skills/experience would also be advantageous, although not essential:

  • Experience with Sass
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio

Web Development Manager

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per year depending on experience

The role
An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic global marine advertising portal has arisen in order to meet both increased customer demand and our 5-year growth strategy. Established in 2003, TheYachtMarket.com is a recognised global leader in marine classifieds providing a marketing platform for yacht brokers and private sellers, and listing more than 60,000 vessels for sale around the world.

Reporting to the CTO, we are looking for an experienced Web Development Manager to lead our dedicated in-house IT Design and Development team in order to take the business to the next level. You will provide leadership and guidance to an expanding IT Department as well as contributing towards the overall strategic direction of the business as part of the Senior Management Team.

You will be able to demonstrate prior management experience and proven knowledge of successfully implementing IT projects, in particular database driven websites and CRM systems. This is a truly varied role and requires a hands-on technical candidate who is happy to lead and get stuck in at the same time. You will act as a key point of contact for all technical functions of the business and there will be many opportunities for the right candidate to grow within the business.

Essential attributes to be successfully employed as our IT Manager include:

  • Passion for web development
  • Proven track record of developing data-driven websites using ASP.Net and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of building software-as-a-service and/or CRM systems
  • Experience with integrating on-line payment solutions
  • Leadership qualities and ability to manage complex projects and the resources required
  • Expertise in implementing and managing development methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • Contract management including experience of building websites for third parties
  • Budgetary planning, forecasting and managing a given budget
  • Designing solutions, in particular, cloud-based website architecture
  • A drive to learn and grow professionally
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and build relationships
